Eucalyptus Lightening Bolt 18x24 Painting
Eucalyptus Lightening Bolt 18x24 (*Eucalyptus Series) painting is an original on canvas by Hawaii artist Thomas Deir. Inspired by the beauty of the eucalyptus tree, Thomas was in his abstract phase and saw this idea when he looked at a picture of one of his abstract sunsets taken at an angle. All he needed was the right colors and the right canvas and away he went. This painting was done squeezing the colors out of a bottle that was precisely mixed at the right consistency so they would not bleed together. No brushes were used in this painting. In fact, the painting is considerably heavier with all the paint that was used.
*Eucalyptus Series- Inspired by the 700 various types of eucalyptus trees, some growing over 300 feet. Although known for their aromatic oils and fragrant leaves, it's their unique colors in the bark that started as an abstract series where the focus is color.
