Dive Oahu 24x36 Painting

Dive Oahu 24x36 is an original painting (*Marine Series) by Hawaii artist Thomas Deir. Sometimes you need a story to really "see" the painting, other times you just see it.  The shape of the cave is the island of Oahu, in Hawaii.  The two divers coming back to the surface aren't aware of the school of hammerhead sharks cruising by overhead.  The best experiences in life require some degree of risk; even love.

The *Marine Series began with Thomas' first painting in 1988 which was of a whale.  Then dolphins, turtles, fishes, reef scenes and more whales followed and he became known as a "marine artist".  This series was the beginning of his career subject matter.
