Death and Life Giclee Canvas Prints or Metal Prints (*Solemn Series, *Waterfall Series) are reproduced from the original fine art by the artist. As we experience life, we experience death. We feel helpless, shown by the hands in the tress reaching up towards the bird (symbol of the spirit leaving). It all revolves around time (the hourglass) and the desire to live long lives (turtles). The Iris flower represents hope and the pain we feel is shown by the waterfall/eye that is the earth. Just before Thomas unveiled this painting for a dear friend's wife who passed suddenly, a moth landed on the painting. Moths are said to be a symbol of someone's spirit who comes back to visit. As we see the face looking at us, we realize that love is the only force in the universe that transcends time.
The *Solemn Series is a collection of paintings that deal with unique subject matter. These works are more than “pretty pictures” and they tell a story.
*Waterfall Series- Whether it's the Koolau mountain range or some dreamy escape from reality, waterfalls create a connection between the earth and our soul.. Waterfalls allow us to taste and feel the earth with the element that is 60% of our body weight.
