Addiction 24 x 36 Painting

Addiction 24x36 painting is an original painting by Hawaii artist Thomas Deir.  Inspired by Thomas’ best friend from high school who became a meth addict. There are also other addictions, like alcohol, pills, vanity, and even religion. The various symbols represent these, with the apple as temptation. The skulls represent the many that don’t make it out of the shackles and crutches of addiction, but for the very few, through the power of love, are able to build a ladder to climb out of darkness and fly into the light of love, represented by the bird.
